The MERG has one formal meeting each year. The MERG Secretariat is responsible for the agenda which shall include a progress report on the activities identified in the yearly work plan, challenges encountered, and the suggested way forward, and discussion of new developments in AIDS that impact the M&E field. In addition to the MERG members, invited guests may participate in the meeting as deemed appropriate to support the MERG agenda.The MERG Executive Council also meets at least once a year in conjunction with the MERG meeting; additional meetings may be scheduled if the need arises.The MERG members are notified two months in advance of meetings and will be sent relevant documentation one month prior to the meeting. The MERG may, in addition to its small formal meeting, host a larger M&E Forum for the purposes of information-sharing, technical discussions, coordination, and M&E training.
