MES 4th International Evaluation Conference

: MES 4th International Evaluation Conference
Title
MES 4th International Evaluation Conference
Long Title
MES 4th International Evaluation Conference
Description
The Malaysian Evaluation Society (MES) is pleased to announce its upcoming 4th MES International Evaluation Conference from 29th March to 2nd April, 2010. As in the past years, we expect about 200 or more participants from Malaysia and internationally. We also expect active participation and support from all major donor entities for the 2010 Conference. The MES would like to take this opportunity to invite proposals for paper presentations, post-conference workshops, and poster exhibitions during the upcoming conference.
Due to the strong ongoing focus and initiatives on “Results-Based Management” (RBM) and “Managing for Development Results” (MfDR) among developing countries and donor agencies alike, the MES has decided to continue with this focus for the 2010 Conference. The RBM and MfDR are highly relevant and proven approaches for improving development results and performance management. They are being increasingly adopted and applied across both developing and developed countries.
The MES feels that there are substantive developments, innovations, and experiences in these aspects across many countries that should be shared for mutual benefit. The MES hopes to achieve this outcome by bringing together such experiences and innovations from across countries in several continents and combine them with the Malaysian experiences at the 2010 Conference. As in the past, the 2010 conference will have a main theme and various streams under it which reflect the priorities and concerns under the RBM and MfDR approaches.
The MES will also be hosting its regular developing countries networking seminar on aid effectiveness on Day 5 of the Conference. This is a special by-invitation only seminar that focuses on discussing and brainstorming on current issues, challenges and solutions on aid effectiveness for both developing countries and donor entities alike. At the last conference, a total of seventeen countries and all major donors were represented. The MES hopes to expand this participation and representation during the 2010 Conference. Make sure your country is represented in this special seminar by registering your interest to attend this seminar with the Conference Secretariat at:
