Country Representative (South Africa)
PSI seeks entrepreneurial, dynamic candidates with an interest in private sector approaches to development for the position of Country Representative for PSI’s South Africa platform, the Society for Family Health (SFH ). SFH is a social marketing organization and local non-profit organization in South Africa, with eleven regional offices across the country and over 300 staff members.

The Country Representative position is located in Johannesburg, South Africa, and reports to the Regional Director in Washington, D.C. PSI is highly decentralized, requiring considerable autonomy and initiative from its Country Representatives.

Monitoring & Evaluation Manager (Monrovia, Liberia)
Currently seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for the ongoing, USAID-funded Liberia Agricultural Upgrading, Nutrition & Child Health (LAUNCH) program based in Monrovia, Liberia. The LAUNCH program has three strategic objectives (SO) for achieving the overall goal of improving the food security of vulnerable populations in Bong and Nimba Counties.

 

Objective 1: Increase Availability of and Access to Food of Vulnerable Rural Populations
Objective 2: Reduce Chronic Malnutrition of Vulnerable Women and Children under Five
Objective 3: Increase Access to Education Opportunities

 

The M&E Manager position requires a wide range of knowledge in livelihoods, capacity building and institutional strengthening, monitoring and evaluation techniques, database management, and hands-on experience in relief and development projects. The incumbent will have the overall responsibility of monitoring the performance of agriculture and food distribution activities and managing the systems for collecting M&E information. In addition, the selected candidate should have expertise in leading monitoring and evaluation activities including training and research activities. The M&E Manager will be based in Monrovia, with frequent travel to program areas in Bong and Nimba Counties.

Behavioral Science Researcher (Washington D.C., USA)

TechWerks seeks to hire a qualified Behavioral Science Researcher to:

  • a) evaluate the implementation of the U.S. Army’s resiliency training, and
  • b) develop or update resilience training.

The individual must have a Ph.D. in a social science or public health discipline that included direct research and statistical experience. Must also have experience designing program evaluations and be functional in a data analysis program such as SPSS. Experience working with the Military and resiliency training are both a plus (Master’s-level candidates with extensive experience in one of these areas may also be considered). Must be able to understand resilience research and be able to translate that knowledge into training as well as conducting program evaluation.

Position is located in Washington, DC area and may require travel up to 15%, including some international travel.

The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) is seeking a Senior Manager, Market Research and Evaluation.

Essential Functions:

  • Holds, evolves and communicates the strategic vision of the market research and evaluation function.
  • Supervises the planning and execution of all market research and evaluation activities.
  • Plans and manages annual budget of $4 million
  • Provides management supervision and leadership for project managers and external contractors to ensure consistency and quality in evaluation and market research deliverables.
  • Collaborates with program implementation team to develop program logic models that describe the theory of market transformation and establish measurable indicators of progress to be evaluated.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase program effectiveness based on evaluation
  • Leads/facilitates two regional stakeholder groups: The Northwest Research Group and Advisory Committee.
  • Develops presentations for NEEA management, staff, Board of Directors, and various stakeholder groups
  • Tracks and reports progress against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develops and implements approaches for tracking initiative performance.
  • Develops and continuously improves market research and evaluation processes and work products to ensure quality deliverables and an effective working relationship with other NEEA departments.
  • Establishes and maintains connections across the evaluation field to assure the strongest and best suited evaluation and market research techniques are applied

IBTCI (International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc.) is seeking a Somali‐speaking M&E Director for our five‐year USAID Monitoring & Evaluation Program for Somalia (MEPS). The goal of this five-year program is to provide USAID with information and analysis on the progress of USG‐assisted activities in Somalia and the extent to which these activities are contributing to improving the quality of life of citizens of Somalia and Somalia’ overall stabilization. Director of Research and Evaluation (Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA)

The Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research of Cornell University (www.bctr.cornell.edu) is conducting a search for the position of Director of Research and Evaluation. We are interested in an individual who can help the center develop its research infrastructure and consult with center projects, while also pursuing an independent program of research. The position holds the academic title of Senior Research Associate. The BCTR is a newly created center that resulted from the merger of two established centers in the College of Human Ecology and includes research, training, and outreach projects, with the training and outreach projects conducting evaluation activities specific to their programs.

The Director of Research & Evaluation will work closely with the BCTR Director and will serve as a member of the BCTR leadership team. The Director of Research & Evaluation will contribute to the growth and development of the research and evaluation capacities of the center, including building a strong data management infrastructure. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the center's data management system; supervising data management and data analysis staff; providing research and evaluation consultation to projects within the BCTR; collaborating with BCTR senior staff and affiliates on research proposal development (research design, sampling, power analysis, data analysis); developing standardized approaches to data collection and data management; supporting training and professional development of center staff; and providing support and consultation to center partners and affiliates. The Director of Research & Evaluation will oversee a small data management unit in the center - funded in part with grant and contract funds - to help standardize our approaches to data collection and data management (e.g. use of web surveys, protocols for data storage and documentation, systems for maintaining human subjects records and documentation, etc.).
