The mission of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance is to support communities to play a full and effective role in the AIDS response. Our vision is a world in which people do not die of AIDS. Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people.

We are now seeking a highly qualified, dynamic and experienced person to fulfil the roles of Senior Advisor: HIV and Health Services within the Alliance Best Practice Team located at the Alliance secretariat in Brighton.

Description

Senior Advisers are tasked with promoting and influencing good practice in HIV programming both within the Alliance and to external organisations; developing practical programming and policy resources; providing technical input to programme development, strategy and proposal writing; and developing good practice programming standards in their area of expertise. This key Alliance post acts as a coordination point for expertise across the organisation, and will be key in galvanising communities of practice across the Alliance to support high quality programming. Working with the External Relations Department, you will also work closely with Policy and Communications teams to define and raise the Alliance’s external profile

The successful post-holder will join a team of Senior Advisors in the HIV Best Practice Unit based at the Alliance’s secretariat in Brighton, UK.
