Many M&E professionals are also members of evaluation associations. This page contains a list of evaluation organizations that exist around the world. The list includes the name of the organization, description, link to their website, and general information on how to register. American Evaluation Association
The American Evaluation Association is an international professional association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms of evaluation.

Eligibility. Any individuals interested in the purposes of the Association shall be eligible for membership. Members are defined as those who have completed an application form, received acknowledgment of membership from the Association, and paid the currently stipulated membership dues.
 
Application for Membership. An individual desiring to join this Association may ask for consideration by making a written application to the Past President/Secretary or other duly-authorized Board-appointed agent, including the appropriate fee. Should the Past President/Secretary or duly-authorized Board-appointed agent, for any reason reject an application for membership, that applicant shall have the right to appeal to the Board of Directors by means of a written statement.

Network of Networks on Impact Evaluation (NoNIE)
NONIE was formed to promote quality impact evaluation. NONIE fosters a program of impact evaluation activities based on a common understanding of the meaning of impact evaluation and approaches to conducting impact evaluation. NONIE focuses on impact evaluation and does not attempt to address wider monitoring and evaluation issues.

Most NONIE members are evaluators from the bilateral and multilateral agencies. They have joined by virtue of their membership in donor networks and because they have a strong interest in impact evaluation. Some members provide core funding.
 
NONIE’s membership also includes developing country participants who bring important perspectives on these issues. Further applications are welcome through IOCE from those who feel they can make a contribution to the network, particularly from developing country governments.
 
NONIE is an active member organization. NONIE encourages members to participate in its work.

International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie)
3ie seeks to improve the lives of poor people in low- and middle-income countries by providing, and summarizing, evidence of what works, when, why and for how much.

Associate members is open to institutions, which conduct impact evaluation studies. Institutions eligible for full membership may also opt for associate membership for a period of two years. Partners, which are organizations, such as evaluation societies and advocacy groups, which share 3ie’s commitment to promoting evidence-based policy making to enhance development effectiveness. African Evaluation Association (AfrEA)
AfrEA was founded in 1999 in response to a growing demand for information sharing, advocacy and advanced capacity building in evaluation in Africa.

AfrEA requires all its member organisations to complete an AfrEA Membership Details form. Membership to AfrEA is open to all formal and informal M&E associations, societies and networks that are based in countries on the African continent and that aim to promote and strengthen evaluation in Africa.

International Organisation for Cooperation in Evaluation
IOCE is a loose alliance of regional and national evaluation organisations (associations, societies and networks) from around the world that collaborate to: build evaluation leadership and capacity in developing countries, foster the cross-fertilisation of evaluation theory and practice around the world, address international challenges in evaluation, and assist the evaluation profession to take a more global approach to contributing to the identification and solution of world problems.

There shall be four (4) classes of members in the IOCE, namely, Full members, Associate members, Institutional partners and Affiliated Groups. The board of trustees of the IOCE may, by resolution, approve the admission of the members of the IOCE. The board of trustees may also pass membership rules, providing, among other things, for the admission of members by the Secretary of the IOCE. Each member shall be promptly informed by the Secretary of their admission as a member.

The Australasian Evaluation Society
The Australasian Evaluation Society (AES) is the primary professional organisation in Australasia for people involved in evaluation. The society's aim is to The Society aims to improve the theory, practice and use of evaluation.

Members of AES include: evaluation practitioners, managers, teachers and students of evaluation, and other interested individuals.

The Canadian Evaluation Society
The Canadian Evaluation Society is dedicated to the advancement of evaluation theory and practice. In the field of evaluation, the society promotes: leadership, knowledge, advocacy, and professional development.

The majority of members are practicing professionals from government or consulting firms. About one quarter are managers — at the hinge between researchers and consumers. One fifth work in policy development and policy analysis, most likely as consumers of evaluation results. The teaching profession represents a significant one twentieth of the membership.

European Evaluation Society
The primary goal of the European Evaluation Society is to promote theory, practice and utilization of high quality evaluation especially, but not exclusively, within the European countries.

Anyone who is interested in evaluation will benefit from an EES membership, including those commissioning, managing, conducting and using evaluations.
 
EES members come from different communities of evaluation practice and research, including national and local public administrations, universities and research institutions, professional and sectoral organisations, international agencies, European institutions and NGOs.

International Development Evaluation Association (IDEA)
IDEAS is an independent association of evaluation professionals, those interested in evaluation, and those who seek to bring credible information and knowledge to the development agenda.

IDEAS has a growing number of members, currently over 700, representing over 90 countries. These members contribute to and benefit from the activities of the association. They are a part of a community of enthusiastic professionals, involved in exploring new ideas, spreading knowledge and building capacity in development evaluation. Each member has the right to be involved in the steering and activities of IDEAS, through a variety of opportunities.
 
Annual, three-year and life membership options are available for individuals, while institutional membership offers organisations the opportunity to extend benefits to any number of staff members.

Sri Lanka Evaluation Association (SLEvA)
The Sri-Lanka Evaluation Association (SLEvA) was founded on 4th September, 1999, to address a long felt need for establishing an evaluation culture in the Sri Lanka civil Society.

Swiss Evaluation Society (SEVAL)
The Swiss Evaluation Society's goal is to foster the exchange of information and experience in the field of evaluation between politics, administration, academia, NGOs and the private sector. It is a multidisciplinary organisation which actively engages in improving the quality of evaluations and their diffusion.

South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA)
SAMEA strives to cultivate a vibrant community that will support, guide and strengthen the development of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) as an important discipline, profession and instrument for empowerment and accountability in South Africa.

You can choose one of two categories of membership:
 
Individual members who will be individuals interested in participating in or benefiting from the work of the Association, including but not limited to practitioners, users of monitoring and evaluation services, and monitoring and evaluation educators.

Student members, who are enrolled at recognized higher education institutions.

Annual membership is R200 for membership and R80 for student membership. Membership shall be terminated three months after membership fees are due, in the event of such dues not being paid.

Malaysian Evaluation Society (MES)
The Malaysian Evaluation Society is a dedicated organization for evaluation practitioners and managers from all levels of government, the business community, and academia as well as individuals interested in or involved with evaluation.

Membership is open to all individuals involved in evaluation activities in both the private and public sector. Membership shall also be open to all evaluation-related organisations registered, formed or incorporated under the Companies Act, 1965, the Societies Act, 1966, or any legislation passed by the Federal or State government.

There shall be four classes of membership, as follows:
Ordinary Membership: Individuals who are directly and actively involved in evaluation activities;
Associate Members: Individuals and organizations, whose main activity is not evaluation but is related to the research or auditing professions;
Corporate Membership: Public or private sector organisations whose activities are directly related to evaluation or evaluation-related fields;
Honorary Membership: Individuals who are involved with evaluation work and who are in a position to contribute to the growth and development of the evaluation profession.

La Société Française de l'Évaluation (SFE)
La Société Française de l'Évaluation (SFE) a été fondée en juin 1999 à Marseille. Elle a pour vocation générale de contribuer au développement de l'évaluation et de promouvoir son utilisation dans les organisations publiques et privées, et, aussi au sein des collectivités en charge de l'élaboration et de la mise en oeuvre des politiques publiques.

Toute demande d'adhésion devra être formulée par écrit. Chaque membre prend l'engagement de respecter les présents statuts et le règlement intérieur, qui lui sont communiqués à son entrée dans l'association. Le Conseil d’administration décide de l’acceptation des membres.
Tout refus doit être motivé par écrit. L’Assemblée Générale de la SFE peut passer outre un refus du conseil d’administration et décider d’accepter un nouveau membre.
Le candidat refusé est informé des conditions « d’appel » auprès de l’assemblé générale. Les modalités de cet « appel » sont précisées dans le règlement intérieur.

The Nigerien Monitoring and Evaluation Network (ReNSE)
The Nigerien Network of Monitoring and Evaluation (ReNSE) is an informal group of monitoring and evaluation professionals. Its overall goal is to foster a sustainable national process of capacity-building in monitoring and evaluation through the setting-up of a forum that will contribute to the definition of standards, methodologies and professional practices in Niger.

DeGEval - Gesellschaft für Evaluation e.V.
Die DeGEval - Gesellschaft für Evaluation e.V. wurde 1997 gegründet. Sie ist ein Zusammenschluss von Personen und Institutionen, die im Bereich der Evaluation tätig sind. Для вступления в Сеть необходимо предоставить информацию о себе по установленной форме и формально подтвердить свое согласие следовать Принципам Оценки Программ. Никаких других ограничений по вступлению в Сеть не существует. Каждый член Сети может выйти из Сети без каких-либо дополнительных условий.
